Social Media Growth Strategist & Content Producer
JoyFoodSunshine is an established recipe website and brand reaching millions of readers every month. We are looking for an experienced Social Media Growth Strategist & Content Producer to help grow our brand across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
This person will partner directly with the CEO to develop a growth strategy, transform recipe content into high-performing social media content, edit videos, publish content, analyze results, execute the plan from start to finish and continuously optimize performance across platforms.
The ideal candidate is an expert in social media growth and content creation who can hit the ground running, has a proven track record of growing social media accounts through strategic content and execution, and requires little training beyond learning our brand voice and mission.
The role will start as a 90-day contractor engagement, with the opportunity for an increased retainer and/or transition to a full-time role for the right candidate.
What You’ll Do:
Strategy & Growth
- Develop and refine a growth strategy across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
- Analyze content performance and identify patterns, opportunities, and trends
- Recommend new content formats, series, and growth initiatives
- Stay current on platform updates and best practices
- Continuously test, learn, and optimize
Video Editing & Content Production
- Edit recipe videos and lifestyle content for social media
- Create platform-specific versions of content
- Write compelling hooks, text overlays, captions, and calls-to-action
- Repurpose existing content into new formats
- Turn one recipe into multiple pieces of content optimized for different platforms
- Package content for maximum engagement, retention, shares, saves, and reach
- Edit short-form content using Adobe Premiere Pro
Publishing & Execution
- Schedule and publish content across platforms
- Manage the content calendar
- Ensure content is optimized for each platform
- Execute the social media strategy from concept to publication
Analytics & Optimization
- Track and analyze performance
- Monitor engagement, follower growth, reach, watch time, retention, shares, saves, and traffic
- Provide recommendations based on data
- Continuously improve performance through testing and iteration
Your skills and experience:
- A proven track record of growing social media accounts and can provide analytics demonstrating measurable increases in followers, engagement, saves, shares, and website traffic. Must be able to clearly articulate their role in achieving those results.
- An understanding that the ultimate goal is not only audience growth, but also increased engagement, email subscribers, brand awareness, and website traffic.
- Experience working with recipe creators, influencers, or food brands
- Highly skilled in short-form video editing and Adobe Premiere
- An understanding of how to translate my vision and brand voice into content that is engaging, shareable, and valuable to my audience.
- Experience using analytics and performance data to drive decision-making
- Ability to take ownership, works independently, and delivers results
- A deep understanding of best practices on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, and how to implement them.
- Experience driving website traffic through social media
- Experience with Kit (ConvertKit)

- Has never been directly responsible for growing an account
